The Union of Tbilisi Museums Joins the ICOM European International Conference – titled ‘Bridging the Gap Between Museums and Communities: The Role of Communication and Education.’ This conference is scheduled to take place on October 2-3, 2023, in Lisbon. The conference will bring together a diverse array of participants, including representatives from the ICOM Europe Council, museum professionals, communication experts, and educators. Various sessions throughout the conference will explore topics such as the role of museums in public relations and communication, the wealth of resources and opportunities offered by museums, the core mission of museums, the significance of their collections, and the vital importance of engaging with visitors.
This conference, organized by ICOM Europe in collaboration with ICOM Portugal, ICOM Georgia, ICOM Croatia, Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário Lisboa, and Museu Nacional dos Coches, will provide a platform for meaningful discussions and the exchange of insights among international museum professionals and enthusiasts.
