Secret Letters

0 2 - Secret Letters

The programme tells the story of a major protest that began with seven proclamations and follows 16-year-old boys – Merab Kostava, Zviad Gamsakhurdia and their seven classmates – whose story began at their school desks. Participants learn about the conspiracy they developed for passing secret information, the history of cryptography, and examples of coded writing, including the Caesar algorithm, the Atbash Cipher, the Georgian coded alphabet known as Anjani, the Dedabruli script, and other examples. The Programme ends with an attempt to decipher a coded text.
