The Union of Tbilisi Museums announces a call for participants for the international conference “Heritage and Tradition” (The Past in the Present and the Future).

Heritage and tradition are a continuous process that unites the past, present, and future. They ensure the transmission of cultural memory and the synthesis of traditions and innovations, enabling generations to understand their identity and create new aesthetic values.

Participation in the conference is open to individuals holding an academic degree, as well as to master’s and doctoral students. Presentations by master’s and doctoral students will be accepted based on the recommendation of their scientific supervisor.

Authors will be notified of the Organizing Committee’s decision regarding participation in the conference no later than October 25, 2026.

The conference topic must contain scientific novelty and must not have been published or presented at any other scientific event.

The scientific fields of the conference are: Art History, Prevention and Conservation of Works of Art, Theatre Studies, Film Studies, Musicology, Choreology, Mass Communication (Multimedia and Cultural Journalism), and Cultural Tourism.

Requirements:
Abstracts must not exceed 400–500 words.
Font: Sylfaen for Georgian text, Times New Roman for English text;
Size: 11, line spacing: 1.15.
Presentation time limit: 10 minutes. Q&A time limit: 10 minutes.

The conference will be held on November 18 and 19, 2026, at the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum, 7 Ivane Javakhishvili Street.
