With the English-language educational program “Adventure of Georgian Alphabet” offered at Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum, you will introduced to the history of the creation and development of one of the oldest scripts – three types of the Georgian alphabet, which is included in the list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind.

Participants of the program, with the use of photo and video materials, will receive information about:

✥ The world’s most common systems of alphabet writing;
✥ The history of three types of the Georgian alphabet (Asomtavruli, Nuskhuri, Mkhedruli);
✥ Development stages of Georgian writing;
✥ Oldest samples of manuscripts and printed books and their history.

At the end of the program, participants will write their full names in all three types of Georgian alphabet (Asomtavruli, Nuskhuri, Mkhedruli).
