On May 18, 2023, the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum introduced its audio guide as part of the project “More Innovations and Public Engagement in the Tbilisi Museums Union.” This initiative enhances visitor experience and engagement within the museum.
A modern bilingual audio guide system was developed as part of the project, aligning with global standards. Integrating new technologies enhances the museum’s storytelling diversity and ensures greater visitor convenience. These audio guides empower visitors to navigate personalized museum tours in their preferred language, enriching their individual experience within the museum space.
The “More Innovations and Public Engagement in the Tbilisi Museums Union” project receives funding through the social investment program of BP. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Consultation and Training Center (CTC) and the Tbilisi Museums Union, to foster innovation and enhance public engagement within the museum union.
The project aims to advance the Tbilisi Museums Union by introducing innovations that expand audiences, enhance educational services, and encourage exhibit protection. Attendees of the event included representatives from Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, Tbilisi City Council, BP’s social investment program, the Consultation Training Center (CTC), along various guests.
The presentation of the audio guide coincided symbolically with International Museums Day. This year’s theme, “Museums, Sustainable Development, and Prosperity,” aligns with the spirit of International Museum Day, established on May 18, 1977, by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). This global celebration has united the international museum community for over 40 years.
