The European Museums Forum EMYA 2023, a highly esteemed competition in the museum sphere, commenced its annual conference. Notably, among the nominees, the Tbilisi Museums Union – Ilia Chavchavadze Literary Memorial Museum is showcased.
Initiated in 1977 by museologist Kenneth Hudson, EMYA holds its reputation as the foremost prestigious competition within the museum domain, recognizing excellence and innovation in museum practices across Europe.
The competition operates under the auspices of the Council of Europe to acknowledge the progressive practices within the European museum sphere while fostering the advancement of innovative approaches in museum practices.

The award ceremony for the winners will take place on May 6 at the MUHBA Barcelona History Museum.
