Tbilisi Museums Union – Dolls and Toys Museum received generous gifts recently.

Puppet artist Nana Bediashvili contributed the collectible doll “Harlequin,” crafted from wax, fabric, gouache, wood, and lace.

Puppet artist Elene Tsitlanadze gifted the queen “Knenina with Cradle,” crafted from polymer clay, wood, fabric, paint, natural hair, and lace.

Tbilisi Museums Union – Dolls and Toys Museum frequently receives generous gifts from various doll enthusiasts and friends, adding to the enrichment of its museum funds and collections. Since 2016, the museum has acquired many unique and collectible items. Notable additions include the Hina-Ningio doll gifted by Ambassador Toshio Kaitan and Harue Kaitan from Japan, artist Bacho Tsanava’s “Harlequin,” Elene Tsitlanadze’s “Nana” queen gifted by Naira Galakhvaridze, a porcelain doll by artist Nana Mekantsishvili named “Papa Karlo” Buratino’s marionette, Lika Katelashvili’s “Spanish Girl,” and several others.
