The Tbilisi Museums Union joined the children’s event held at the International Book Festival with the educational program “History of Dolls”.
The event attendees learned about the history of the Tbilisi Dolls and Toys Museum, delved into the art of puppetry, observed various artifacts of dolls and toys from ancient to modern times, engaged in crafting traditional Georgian queens, invented names for them, and transformed these figures into characters.
At the event, Queen Marine, a significant exhibit from the initial collection of the Tbilisi Dolls and Toys Museum, made by Rafiel Begtabegishvili in 1952, celebrated its 67th anniversary on June 1.
