The Tbilisi Museums Union – Zakaria Paliashvili Memorial House Museum hosted a special event, a lecture-concert titled “Daisy – 95, National Music – History of the Country” on December 19. This event commemorated the 95th anniversary of Zakaria Paliashvili’s opera “Daisi.”
As part of the lecture-concert, Rusudan Kutateladze, a musicologist and Doctor of Art Studies, provided an historical perspective on the lyrical-dramatic opera “Daisi” by the renowned Georgian composer Zakaria Paliashvili. Her discussion highlighted the opera’s historical significance within the context of Georgian classical music.
Following the lecture, famous arias from the opera were performed. Among the participants were Nino Burduladze, Levan Gvenetadze, Lela Zaridze, Tamar Melanashvili, Davit Khurtsilava, Marina Adamashvili, and Lana Guldedava.
