The Union of Tbilisi Museums launches a new project!
Every letter, short text message or information sheet is one of the most important and powerful information tool in this changed and lock-downed reality.
A letter, a record, a greeting, a greeting card, a card, a message, a notice, a statement or other such means are the means of conveying reality today, but in the future, they can transform into a memory, and often an emotion, a feeling or a story. A story that will be interesting for future generations in terms of memorials and will be able to convey the time and the past.
A Letter to Museum is a project that aims to transform the museums into a unifying platform for the community and the museum, a place where it will be possible to recall the human significance the funds and the heritages preserved at the museums and look back to personal stories, attitudes, heartbreaks and the sweets of life.
What would you write to Ilia Chavchavadze, Nikoloz Baratashvili (or he is Tato for you?), Zakaria Paliashvili, Olga Guramishvili, Soso Tsereteli, Merab Kostava, Vakhtang Chabukiani, Anastasia Eristavi-Khoshtaria or Galaktion’s Ollkin?
What would you tell them about the challenges that Georgia faces today?
What are the links between the past and the present?
What do you feel when reading their correspondence?
People of any age and profession are welcome to participate in the project.
Send a handwritten letter to our personal inbox.
You can submit a video-letter as well.
All the handwritten and video letters will be posted on the Union’s Facebook page and the YouTube channel.
